31st october means candles, sweets, ghosts, zombies and witches all over the world… Yeah, it’s Halloween time!
But we have to say that in Barcelona, we are more into “la castanyada”. What? You don’t know about it?
OK. Just take a look at the video. We eat “castanyes” and “panellets”. They are delicicous, but they aren’t really diet food…
But hey, it’s just for one day!
Remember that only these days you will see our “castanyers i castanyeres” all around the city, so it’s in october or never!
We almost forgot! Here we had “castanyes”, and here, “panellets”. Enjoy!
What’s more, you’ll fart a lot after eating castanyadas!
Well, maybe there could be some side effects… :p

They are not at the center, but you can have some delicious “tapas” at la Barceloneta, at Jai-ca bar ( watch it in our Barceloneta’s video: http://www.videosfrombarcelona.com/2009/09/la-barceloneta/) or at Bar Tomàs. Wonderful “patates braves” and a wide range of some other classic apperitives. The way to these places will be absolutely worth it!
